Abstract

Since its inception by Zadeh (1965), fuzzy theory has received a wide scope attentions both in its theory development to gain maturity and in its applications. Among its successful applications, the theory has been widely applied in fuzzy control. Recognising that fuzzy theory is a powerful theory to handle imprecise information, its application has been initiated in Decision Making process, for instances, in Linear Programming, Multi-Objective Decision Making, and Dynamic Programming where the nature of imprecise information is very common. The paper elicits some applications of the theory in Decision Making especially in Civil Engineering.
